EAST STROUDSBURG - Freshman Bridget Simons shot a 93 to lead the Warriors at the ESU Invitational, held Sunday at Great Bear Golf Club.

Simons placed 12th, followed by sophomore Kayla Grossi (t-14th, 95), sophomore Malene Frost (18th, 101) and senior Alycia Jones (t-19th, 105).

ESU was fourth in a field of seven schools. Kutztown won with a 331, with West Chester (375), Millersville (385), ESU (394), Eastern (445), Manhattanville (447) and Ursinus (463) following.

Mindy Glatfelter of Kutztown was the medalist with a round of 80 on the par-71, 5,800-yard course. The Golden Bears had the top six finishers, including two who competed unattached.

The home invitational was the Warriors first since hosting the ESU Invitational in April 2010 at Water Gap Country Club.

ESU will finish the 2012-13 season at the Eastern Invitational on Monday at White Manor Country Club in Malvern.
