Amanda Simms set a career-high with 20 saves, but IUP remained undefeated with a 16-8 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC lacrosse on Saturday at Whitenight Field.

Samantha Weinert also chipped in with a goal for the Warriors (1-8, 0-5), who played their third straight game this weekend against a team with one or fewer losses.
IUP (8-0, 5-0), coming off a 13-10 win at defending PSAC champion Bloomsburg on Friday, was led by three goals by Drew Hayden and Alex Edwards, and two goals and two assists from Alexa Lodovici and Michelle Zakrzewski.
ESU trailed 2-1 just over 12 minutes into the game, with the goal coming from Weinert, before IUP scored three goals in a 42-second stretch to take control. The Warriors scored the final two goals of the first half, by Studdiford (from Ginn) and Ginn (from Miller), to pull within 9-4 at intermission.
IUP got off to a strong start to the second half, scoring five goals in the first eight minutes as part of a 6-0 spurt.
The Warriors scored four straight down the stretch before IUP scored the final goal with just under a minute to go.

Lauren Nunes, and Smith had her second goal of the game on a free position.
Simms surpassed her previous career-high of 19 saves against Georgian Court last year. She has 96 saves in eight games (all starts) this season.
ESU finishes a four-game homestand against Mercyhurst on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Whitenight Field.
