EAST STROUDSBURG – Emily Estep threw a one-hitter in game one to lead PSAC East leader Shippensburg to a pair of wins over East Stroudsburg University in divisional softball action on Tuesday afternoon at Zimbar Field.
Shippensburg (24-5, 7-1) won the opener, 4-0, and Liz Parkins tossed a complete game in a 7-1 win in game two.
Junior
Laura Suits pitched her seventh complete game of the season for ESU in the first game, allowing two earned runs on eight hits, four strikeouts and no walks. The Raiders scored an unearned run in the first, two runs in the third (one unearned) and another in the seventh.
Freshman OF
Sierra Wagner led off the bottom of the first for the Warriors with a base hit, but Estep didn't allow another hit the rest of the way. She struck out seven and walked three in her sixth shutout of the season.
In the second game, Shippensburg scored six runs (one earned) on five hits and two ESU errors in the top of the first inning.
The Warriors scored their only run in the bottom of the first, putting together hits from sophomore 2B

Amanda Carlin got the start and was relieved by freshman
Allison Mende (3.1 IP, 4 hits, 1 run) and Suits (3.0 IP, 2 hits, 1 run).
The Warriors are home for doubleheaders on both Friday and Saturday. They open the second half of PSAC East play against Millersville on Friday at 2:30 p.m., and host Clarion in non-conference action on Senior Day on Saturday at 1 p.m.
