EAST STROUDSBURG – Freshman
Sydney Galoozis recorded 25 kills over two matches, but East Stroudsburg University dropped a pair of non-conference volleyball matches on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.
ESU (3-3) dropped its opener in four sets to Holy Family, 19-25, 18-25, 25-16, 22-25, and fell to New Haven in three sets, 20-25, 12-25, 23-25, after opening with a 3-1 record last week at Koehler.
Galoozis had 14 kills and junior outside hitter
Abby Welch added 10 kills against Holy Family. Junior
Annabelle Charlton and senior
Allye Preziosi both had 17 assists. Redshirt sophomore
Haley Mork had 17 digs, sophomore
Maddie Hutchison had 14 and Charlton added 12, and freshman middle blocker
Hanna Bergen had seven blocks.
Galoozis recorded 11 kills against New Haven but was the only Warrior with more than three. Preziosi had 13 assists and 10 digs, and Charlton had 10 assists and eight digs.
The Warriors open PSAC play on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. against Cheyney.
