EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior forward
Jessica Lawville scored two goals in a stretch of 1:03 late in the first half, and East Stroudsburg University posted a 5-1 win over Seton Hill in non-conference field hockey on Tuesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
Seton Hill (3-4) took a 1-0 lead just 1:23 into the game on a goal from Ashley Reid, but the Warriors scored four times in the first half to take a commanding lead.

Ally Roth, at the 21:50 mark for the first of four ESU goals in the next 13 minutes.

Gabrielle Seibert, and Roth scored on an assist from Barbato with 20 seconds left in the first half.
Senior midfielder
Brielle Kessel added an unassisted goal 18 minutes into the second half to set the final margin as the Warriors (3-4) ended a three-game losing streak following a 4-2 win over then-No. 3 Bloomsburg two weeks ago.
Lawville doubled her season scoring total with her 18th and 19th career goals, and Roth's goal was her ninth of the season and also the 19th of her career. Howell scored her first goal and Kessel had her first of the year and fifth of her career.
Sophomore
Alexis Charles made her first start of the season (fourth career start) in goal for ESU and had nine saves. ESU held an 18-13 lead in shots, and a 12-3 advantage in the first half. The Warriors also doubled up the Griffins in penalty corners, 12-6.
The Warriors will face Seton Hill again on Oct. 20 for a conference game in Greensburg. Seton Hill joined the PSAC as a full member in all sports on July 1 but has competed in the PSAC in field hockey since 2011.
ESU opened a four-game homestand and hosts a pair of games this weekend at Whitenight Field to start PSAC play. The Warriors host Mercyhurst on Friday at 3 p.m., after falling 4-2 in Erie in a non-conference game on Sept. 15, and Slippery Rock on Saturday at 3 p.m.
