ERIE - Freshman outside hitter Sydney Galoozis had 20 kills and junior Annabelle Charlton turned in her fifth triple-double of the season, but East Stroudsburg University fell to Mercyhurst and Slippery Rock in PSAC volleyball on Friday at Mercyhurst University.

Galoozis had 14 kills and Charlton had 11 kills, 13 assists and 10 digs against Slippery Rock in the Warriors' second match of the day, falling 25-17, 25-21, 25-23.

Junior outside hitter Abby Welch had nine kills, senior Allye Preziosi posted 26 assists and 15 digs and sophomore libero Maddie Hutchison had 25 digs for ESU (5-9, 1-2).

Carrie Houston led Slippery Rock with 10 kills.

Against Mercyhurst, Galoozis had six kills and Preziosi added six kills, 12 assists and 13 digs but the Warriors fell 25-19, 25-22, 25-20.

Charlton (14 digs) and Hutchison (12 digs) led ESU's defensive effort. Sarah Vick had 12 kills to pace Mercyhurst.

ESU is at Gannon on Saturday, facing the host Golden Knights at 10 a.m. and Edinboro at 3:30 p.m.
