EAST STROUDSBURG - Nationally-ranked wrestlers Braden Turner and Brendan McKeown both won key regional match-ups, but No. 12-ranked Mercyhurst came away with a 29-15 dual win in PSAC and Super Region 1 action on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Turner, ranked No. 5 at 165 pounds and first in Super Region 1, won a 6-0 decision over Clint Schaefer, ranked fourth in the region and a returning NCAA Division II qualifier. Turner improved to 24-5 on the season, 16-1 against DII competition and won his 70th career match in three seasons.

McKeown, ranked No. 5 at 174 and second in the region, pinned August Mizia (SR1 #3) with 37 seconds remaining.

Sophomore Tyson Searer (197) won by forfeit for the Warriors.

Mercyhurst won seven bouts on the mat, including a pin from No. 7-ranked Dylan D'Urso at 141. The Lakers entered with eight wrestlers ranked in the top four in the region, and were coming off a 20-15 win at No. 7 Kutztown on Friday.

The Warriors host Centenary on Tuesday at Koehler Fieldhouse.
