BLOOMSBURG – Junior Jamie Kane won the 200 breast and junior Mara Palazzari captured the 100 fly as East Stroudsburg University dropped a women's swimming dual at Bloomsburg, 131-122, on Saturday afternoon.

Kane won the 200 breast in 2:36.52 and was second in the 100 breast in 1:12.27. Palazzari won the 100 fly in 1:03.39 and was second in the 50 free in 26.14.

Senior Allison Schafer had three top-three finishes – second in the 200 free (2:01.06) and 100 fly (1:03.53), and third in the 200 back (2:21.65).

Sophomore Sophie Coy was second in the 50 fly (29.56) and 200 IM (2:21.45). Sophomore Cyndi Kline placed second in the 500 free (5:37.41).

The Warriors also got third-place finishes from sophomore Alexandra Woytko (50 free, 26.75) and freshmen Kayla Keating (100 free, 57.82) and Kandis Venn (100 back, 1:05.66).

The Warriors host their annual ESU Invitational at Saturday at 12 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse, their final opportunity to swim PSAC qualifying times for the upcoming conference championships on February 20-23 in York, Pa.

Nine Warriors have PSAC qualifying times so far, including six by Schafer and four by junior Shelby Stalnaker.
