Ally Roth scored both goals, including the game-winning goal 4:31 into overtime, as No. 7-ranked East Stroudsburg University survived a road trip to Mercyhurst with a 2-1 (OT) victory in PSAC field hockey on Saturday afternoon.
ESU (7-5, 6-3 PSAC) won its third straight game, getting a goal from Roth early in the second half before the game-winning goal in OT.
Mercyhurst (5-7, 3-5) forced overtime with a goal by Blair Pemberton with 1:33 remaining in regulation.
Roth's first goal was assisted by senior midfielder
Becky Gagliardi, coming 6:11 into the second half. Her game-winner was assisted by senior midfielder
Gabrielle Seibert.
ESU held a 19-8 advantage in shots while Mercyhurst had an 11-5 edge in penalty corners.

Danielle Ard made four saves for ESU. Jess Wess had 12 saves for the Lakers.
Roth has scored 17 goals this season and 48 in her career, second-most in ESU history and eight behind the school record of 56 held by Ashley Kocis (2003-06).
ESU hosts Dowling (2-10) in a non-conference game on Sunday at 12 p.m. at Whitenight Field.
