PHILADELPHIA - East Stroudsburg University won the third set, but Philadelphia University held on for a 3-1 win in non-conference women's volleyball on Monday night.
 
Freshman outside hitter Desiree Claxton had 14 kills and 10 digs, senior outside hitter Abby Welch had 11 kills and senior setter Annabelle Charlton had 22 assists, 16 digs and four blocks for the Warriors (6-18).
 
Junior libero Maddie Hutchison added 24 digs for ESU.
 
Chelsea Hughes had 13 kills and Corinne Justus added 11 to pace Philadelphia U (11-10), which won 25-14, 25-18, 19-25, 25-23.
 
ESU hosts defending PSAC champion Pitt-Johnstown on Friday at 7 p.m. and Lock Haven on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Homecoming Weekend at Koehler Fieldhouse.
