EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior outside hitter Abby Welch had eight kills, but East Stroudsburg University fell to Pitt-Johnstown in three sets in PSAC East women's volleyball on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
 
Cambria Wierman had 12 kills to lead UPJ, the defending PSAC champions, who won by set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-12. The Mountain Cats hit .304 in the match and .452 (16-2-31) in the third set.
 
Freshman outside hitter Desiree Claxton had six kills for ESU, senior Annabelle Charlton had 11 assists and junior libero Maddie Hutchison had 14 digs.
 
ESU (6-19, 2-14) hosts Lock Haven on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse.
