EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior outside hitter Abby Welch had 18 kills and senior Annabelle Charlton had 20 assists and 18 digs, but Shippensburg outlasted East Stroudsburg University for a 3-1 win in PSAC East women's volleyball on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
 
Freshman outside hitter Desiree Claxton added 10 kills and 13 digs for her ninth double-double of the season and junior libero Maddie Hutchison had 21 digs for ESU (6-22, 2-17).
 
ESU won the first set, 26-24, but Shippensburg (15-14, 8-11) rallied to win 25-16, 25-20, 27-25 in the last three sets.
 
Shippensburg had three players reach double figures in kills in Taylor Gottshall (12), Faith Athey (11) and Annie Goerl (10). Maura Nolan had 41 assists and 14 digs and Laura Plank had a team-high 27 digs.
 
Shippensburg hit .154 for the match. ESU hit .094, including a .270 rate (15 kills, 5 errors, 37 attacks) in the first set.
 
ESU will recognize its four seniors - Charlton, Welch, Elizabeth Higley (6 kills, 5 blocks vs. Ship) and Haley Mork (7 digs vs. Ship) - before Saturday's match vs. Millersville.
 
The Warriors will finish the season on the road next weekend at Cheyney and West Chester.
