KUTZTOWN - Freshman Samantha Miller finished tied for eighth to lead East Stroudsburg University's women's golf team at the Kutztown Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Berkleigh Golf Club.
 
Miller shot a two-day total of 171, carding an 87 on Saturday and an 84 on Sunday, against a field of 30 golfers.
 
Senior Malene Frost was 21st (196), junior Bridget Simons placed 22nd (199), freshman Mackenzie Mathna was 28th (217) and junior Jen Jordan was 29th (224).
 
Kutztown won the team title by one shot over Kutztown, 666 to 667. Millersville was third at 701, followed by ESU (776) and Division III Alvernia (824).
 
Kutztown's Hope Giordano (159) was the medalist by five shots over West Chester's Lacey Bensing (164).
 
ESU is scheduled to compete at the Ursinus Invitational next Sunday and Monday (Oct. 12-13) in Pottstown.
