EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior outside hitter Abby Welch had 17 kills but Millersville notched a 3-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East women's volleyball on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Freshman outside hitter Desiree Claxton had seven kills and 15 digs, senior Annabelle Charlton had 19 assists and nine digs and junior libero Maddie Hutchison had 22 digs for the Warriors (6-23, 2-18).

Millersville (14-15, 7-13) won by set scores of 25-16, 25-22 and 26-24. Katie Lesinski and Erin Harman paced the Marauders with 13 kills each.

ESU recognized its four seniors – Charlton, Welch, Elizabeth Higley and Haley Mork – prior to the match. Higley had two kills and six blocks and Mork had eight digs.

Charlton ranks eighth at ESU in career assists (1,216) and has 537 career kills and 877 digs. Welch has 690 career kills and recorded her 32nd career match with 10+ kills. She had 18 kills in a four-set loss to Shippensburg on Friday night.

ESU finishes the 2014 season next weekend at Cheyney and West Chester.
