StatisticsTHE MATCH-UP: East Stroudsburg University hosts Millersville in its home opener this afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse. The Warriors (1-0, 1-0 PSAC East) won their season opener at Lock Haven, 87-74, on Wednesday night. Millersville (2-1, 0-1) fell 89-69 at West Chester after wins over UVa-Wise (69-65) and Chowan (49-48) last weekend. ESU is picked 5th in the PSAC East, one spot behind Millersville. The two schools have met in the first round of the PSAC Tournament in both of the last two seasons - ESU won, 49-48, last March on a 3-pointer by Sr. G

Jessica Martin had 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 blocks in ESU's win at Lock Haven on Wednesday. The Warriors' 87 points were their most in a PSAC game since an 87-75 win over Shippensburg in December 2006. Martin, a 3-time All-PSAC East selection, is 2nd at ESU and t-9th in PSAC history in career blocks (212) and 8th at ESU in rebounds (654) ... she has 905 career points ... The Warriors, ranked in the NABC DII preseason poll for the 1st time in program history, won 92-72 at Lincoln in their season opener before falling 76-71 to CIAA North preseason favorite Bowie State last weekend. Millersville fell to Bowie (76-64), beat Lincoln (66-56) and lost at West Chester (78-49) in its first 3 games.
