EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior Allison Schafer and freshman Kelly Buyaskas both placed second in two events to lead East Stroudsburg University's swimming team at its annual ESU Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Schafer was second in the 200 free (1:59.56) and 500 free (5:22.60), and Buyaskas was second in the 100 breast (1:11.02) and 100 free (57.01), in the Warriors' final meet of the regular season.

Sophomore Samantha Miara was second in the 200 breast (2:42.55) and freshman Kandis Venn in the 100 back (1:01.92).

ESU's final action of the season will come at the PSAC Championships on February 20-23 in York, Pa.

The Warriors have nine individual qualifiers, led by Schafer in six events (200, 500, 1000 and 1650 free, 200 fly and 400 IM) and junior Shelby Stalnaker in four events (100 and 200 back, 100 free and 200 IM).

Other qualifiers are juniors Karoline Vavra (50, 100 and 200 free), Jamie Kane (100 and 200 breast), Mara Palazzari (100 free and 100 fly) and Danielle Davis (100 free), and sophomores Sophie Coy (100 and 200 breast), Cyndi Kline (500 free) and Jennifer Lauer (400 IM).
