YORK - East Stroudsburg University's 800 free relay broke a school record and junior
Jamie Kane made the consolation final in the 100 breast on the third day of the 2014 PSAC Swimming Championships, held Saturday.

Karoline Vavra swam a time of 7:52.46, lowering the record of 7:56.31 set last year by Schafer, Davis,
Andrea Tremper and Vavra.
The relay finished ninth, and Kane was 16th in the 10 breast in 1:08.58. She was the final qualifier with a time of 1:07.99 in the morning prelims.
Schafer just missed a spot in the 500 free, placing 18th in the prelims in 5:11.85. Junior
Shelby Stalnaker was 19th in the 100 back in 1:01.28.
ESU swimmers have set three school records through the first three days. Schafer lowered her 1000 free record to 10:27.96 on Thursday morning, and Stalnaker broke the 50 back record (28.07) in the first leg of the 200 medley relay Thursday night.
ESU is ninth of 13 schools going into Sunday with 88 points, followed by Lock Haven (72), Millersville (65), Kutztown (54) and Mansfield (24).
West Chester, seeking its eighth straight PSAC title, strengthened its lead over IUP (644-386).
The four-day championship meet concludes on Sunday in York.
