SALISBURY, N.C. – Sophomore attack Kaitlynn Wiltraut scored four goals and senior attack Sarah Studdiford and redshirt freshman midfielder Jamie Zimmer also had hat tricks as East Stroudsburg University won its fifth straight non-conference lacrosse game to open the 2014 season, 17-7 at Catawba on Tuesday.

Senior midfielder Nicole Miller had two goals to give her 100 career points (77 goals, 23 assists) in her four years at ESU.

Freshman attack Kristina Caprio also scored twice and sophomore midfielder Annastasia Porpora, sophomore midfielder Sarah Snydman and freshman attack Lauren Green added goals for ESU.

Alyssa Corace scored three goals to lead Catawba (3-5).

ESU jumped out to a 6-0 lead and held a 6-2 advantage at halftime, then built its lead to 16-3 with 10 minutes left.

Wiltraut had her fourth hat trick in five games this season and has scored 21 goals. She had 11 goals in 16 games (nine starts) in the midfield as a freshman.

ESU returns north to host Kutztown in its PSAC opener on Saturday.
