BRISTOL, Tenn. – Taylor Parker and Sarah Bertoni both threw complete games, leading Bloomsburg to two wins over East Stroudsburg University in the PSAC East softball opener for both schools on Saturday at King College in Tennessee.
Parker threw a two-hitter in an 8-0 (6 inn.) win in the opener, and Bertoni scattered nine ESU hits in an 8-3 win in the nightcap.
Senior catcher
Rebecca Smith was 3-for-7 to lead ESU (5-12, 0-2) offensively.
Bertoni was 3-for-4 with an RBI and four runs for Bloomsburg (9-4, 2-0) in game one. Kyala McHale was 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs to pace the Huskies offense in game two.
ESU scored first in the nightcap, getting RBI singles from junior 1B

Cara Woods in the first inning.
Bloomsburg scored two runs each in the first, third, fourth and fifth innings before ESU completed the scoring with a double by junior 2B
