ESU Lacrosse Falls to Gannon, 15-9

EAST STROUDSBURG - Stevie Lombardoni and Kimberley Neagle both scored four goals as Gannon pushed past East Stroudsburg University for a 15-9 win in PSAC lacrosse on Saturday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Sophomore attack Kaitlynn Wiltraut scored three goals to lead ESU (6-3, 1-3), which fell to Millersville, Mercyhurst and Gannon in PSAC play this week after a 6-0 start.

Wiltraut had her seventh hat trick in nine games this year and leads the Warriors with 32 goals after scoring 11 goals in 16 games as a freshman last season.

Senior attack Sarah Studdiford scored two goals and senior midfielder Nicole Miller, sophomore attack Lauren Nunes, sophomore midfielder Annastasia Porpora and redshirt freshman midfielder Jamie Zimmer also scored for ESU.

The Warriors led 3-0 and 4-1 before Gannon scored the final four goals of the first half for a 9-6 lead at intermission.

Zimmer scored to cut the Gannon (5-4, 2-2) lead to 9-7 less than four minutes into the second half, but the Golden Knights scored six of the next seven goals to pull away.

Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Jessica Maxwell made 10 saves for ESU. Margaret Maslyn had 11 saves for Gannon, which had a 31-25 advantage in shots.

ESU's next action is Saturday, April 5 at IUP (6-2, 4-0), which was ranked No. 8 in this week's IWLCA Division II coaches poll.
