Lauren Nunes scored four goals and senior midfielder

Sarah Studdiford added two each as East Stroudsburg University held off Mercy, 10-9, in non-conference lacrosse on Wednesday afternoon.
Nunes scored three of her four goals in the first half as the Warriors built a 5-2 lead, then saw their advantage shrink to 9-8 before Miller scored her second goal of the game with 45 seconds left.
ESU improved to 3-0 after season-opening wins in Connecticut against Bridgeport (13-3) and Southern Connecticut State (9-4).
Kelsey Bub scored four goals to lead Mercy (1-2) and Michelle Tiernan scored a pair of goals just over a minute apart to bring the Mavericks within 9-8 with 8:34 left.
Neither team scored until Miller found the cage in the final minute. Tracey Wandle scored her second goal of the game for Mercy with eight seconds left.

Kaitlynn Wiltraut, who scored nine goals in the first two games, and sophomore midfielder
Annastasia Porpora also scored for ESU.
Nunes recorded her sixth career hat trick in 19 career games for ESU. She was second on the team with 30 goals as a freshman.
Redshirt freshman goalkeeper
Jessica Maxwell made seven saves in goal for the Warriors, while Jillian Rocco had five saves for Mercy.
ESU is scheduled to host Georgian Court on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
