Nicole Miller scored five goals, including three in a 6-0 run that spanned most of the second half, as East Stroudsburg University overcame Slippery Rock for a 10-8 win in PSAC lacrosse on Saturday at Whitenight Field.

Samantha Kochey, as ESU (7-5, 2-5) won for the first time since March 22 in ending a five-game stretch without a victory.
Slippery Rock led 8-4 after scoring the first three goals of the second half before the Warriors rallied with three goals in less than two minutes – getting tallies from redshirt freshman midfielder
Jamie Zimmer, Miller and Studdiford – to close within 8-7 with 22:30 left.
Freshman attack
Lauren Green tied the game with 18:08 remaining, then Miller scored the go-ahead and insurance goals as ESU led 10-8 with 10:56 left and maintained possession over most of the final 11 minutes.
ESU's defensive effort blanked Slippery Rock over the last 26:40 after Erin Wilcox scored twice in 20 seconds to stake the Rock to its 8-4 lead.
Sophomore midfielder
Annastasia Porpora opened the scoring for ESU in the first half, and sophomore attack
Kaitlynn Wiltraut and Miller both scored in the final 2:02 of the half to get the Warriors within 5-4 at the break.
Morgan Pettit scored three goals to lead Slippery Rock (4-8, 1-6) and Wilcox and Jess Verbic had two goals each.
ESU had a 22-15 advantage in shots to offset Slippery Rock's 13-7 margin in draw controls. The Warriors were 6-for-9 on free position attempts.
Redshirt freshman goalkeeper
Jessica Maxwell had five saves for ESU, and Jordan Wagner made eight saves for Slippery Rock.
Miller has 97 career goals for ESU, closing in on becoming the 15th 100-goal scorer in the program's last 30 years. Studdiford scored her 52nd career goal and Kochey made her 25th start in the last two seasons.
ESU hosts Lock Haven on Tuesday at 4 p.m., the first of five games in a 12-day stretch to finish the regular season.
