Photo GallerySTROUDSBURG – Kutztown won the team title and Millersville's Jamie Wharton was the medalist as East Stroudsburg University finished its 2013-14 women's golf season hosting the ESU Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Glen Brook Golf Club.
Kutztown (655) won by a comfortable margin over West Chester (696), followed by Millersville (701) and ESU (748).
Wharton (159) posted a two-stroke margin of victory over Kutztown's Devan Everett (161), followed by teammates Madison Beer (162) and Lauren Smith (163). Wharton trailed Everett by six shots after Saturday's round but shot a 78 on Sunday, while Everett carded an 86.
Sophomore
Bridget Simons was ESU's top finisher, tied for 11th at 179. Her 85 on Sunday is ESU's lowest round since junior
Kayla Grossi (81) and Simons (83) posted scores at the Ursinus Invitational in September.
Freshman Theresa D'Iorio tied for 14th at 186, followed by Grossi (191), junior
Malene Frost (204) and freshman
Jen Jordan (215).
The par-72 layout played at 5,830 yards.
