SHIPPENSBURG - East Stroudsburg University improved to 2-2 in the PSAC East with wins over Shippensburg (8-1) and Cheyney (9-0) in divisional action on Saturday at Shippensburg.

ESU improves to 7-4 (2-2 PSAC East), while Shippensburg falls to 0-7 (0-2) and Cheyney to 0-3 (0-3) with just two matches left in the divisional schedule for the Warriors.

Sophomore Amina Dickson (No. 1), freshman Brianne Wood (No. 3), senior Annie Vega (No. 4) and freshman Amber Jadus (No. 5) were singles winners for ESU vs. Shippensburg. Dickson and junior Allison Bean won 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Vega and Wood won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. Shippensburg forfeited at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

Bean, Vega, Wood, Jadus and freshman Elizabeth Simmons won in singles against Cheyney, with Vega/Wood and sophomore Sarah DiGregory/Jadus winning in doubles. Cheyney also forfeited at the last singles and doubles spot.

ESU travels to Millersville on Tuesday and Kutztown on Friday to finish PSAC East action.
