CALDWELL - Freshmen Elizabeth Bartoli and Devin Presby were double winners, but East Stroudsburg University fell 5-4 at Caldwell in its 2014-15 women's tennis dual opener at Caldwell on Monday.

Bartoli won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 5 singles and Presby won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles for the Warriors. They also posted an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles.

Senior Taylor Presby and sophomore Amber Jadus won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles. Senior Allison Bean and junior Amina Dickson, who competed at last weekend's PSAC championships, fell 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.

ESU lost two three-set matches in singles. Gwynne Alden had a 5-7, 6-2, 10-5 win over Jadus at No. 3 and Sara Riccardi had a 2-6, 6-3, 10-6 win over Taylor Presby at No. 4.

Caldwell's Rebecca Ryan had a 6-1, 6-0 win over Dickson at No. 1 singles, and Emily Slater won 6-0, 6-2 against Bean at No. 2 singles.

The Warriors travel to Division III Moravian for a non-conference match next Thursday (Sept. 25).
