WEST CHESTER - East Stroudsburg University fell to Slippery Rock, 3-1, and Edinboro, 3-0, in the first half of this weekend's conference-opening PSAC crossover on Friday at West Chester.
 
Freshman outside hitter Desiree Claxton had 12 kills for ESU (4-6, 0-2) against Slippery Rock, which won 25-18, 20-25, 25-19, 25-17.
 
Senior setter Annabelle Charlton had 20 assists and 19 digs and junior libero Maddie Hutchison had 14 digs for the Warriors. Senior outside hitter Abby Welch added eight kills.
 
Against Edinboro, freshman middle blocker Erin Gloor had seven kills to lead ESU. Charlton had 12 assists and Hutchison had a team-high nine digs. Edinboro won by set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 25-14.
 
 The Warriors play Mercyhurst and Gannon on Saturday.
