Couch scored her first goal of the season on the continuing action of a penalty corner awarded at the end of regulation, giving Slippery Rock its first win over ESU since 1998. The Warriors had won 22 consecutive games against SRU and 31 of 32 since 1989.

ESU finished with advantages of 16-9 in shots and 13-6 in penalty corners. The Warriors had an 11-3 edge in shots in the second half after SRU held a 6-5 margin in the first half.

Freshman goalkeeper
Shelby Drissel made her first career start for ESU and made four saves. Carlee DuMars had five saves for Slippery Rock.
Roth scored her 11th goal of the season and the 42nd of her career. She is tied for third in ESU's record book with 100 career points, matching Karen Moliver (1985-87). Roth's 42 career goals are fourth in school history.
The Warriors travel to No. 2 West Chester (6-1, 4-1) for a 5 p.m. start on Friday. The Golden Rams suffered their first loss of the season, 3-2 (OT) at No. 1 Millersville (7-0, 5-0) last Tuesday.
