KUTZTOWN - Senior Danielle Smith (60m dash) and freshman Zach Dillon (long jump) both hit NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standards for East Stroudsburg University at the Kutztown Invitational on Friday.

Smith ran a time of 7.14 seconds in the 55m dash - one-hundredth off Cheryl Griffin's school record set in 2000 - for a converted 60m time of 7.69 seconds. She is a nine-time NCAA provisional qualifier in individual events and a seven-time PSAC champion, including the 2013 and 2014 indoor titles in the 60m dash.

Dillon had a mark of 23-1 3/4 in the long jump, the sixth-best mark in school history, in his first collegiate meet.

The Warriors had seven individual winners, including one double-winner in Smith (55m, 500m - 1:21.87).

Sophomore Allison Decker won the mile (5:29.23), senior Christina O'Connor took the women's high jump (5-3), junior William Berry won the men's high jump (6-8), sophomore Ronald D'Eliseo won the 55m hurdles (7.94 -7.85 prelims), Dillon won the long jump and junior Eric Conard won the heptathlon (4,455 points).

O'Connor (5-5) and Berry (6-8 3/4) were both NCAA provisional qualifiers in the season opener at Lehigh in December.

ESU's women had three PSAC qualifying performances from Smith in the 55m dash, and junior Tirzah Johnson in the long jump (17-0) and triple jump (35-8 1/2).

ESU's men had 11 PSAC qualifiers, including four freshmen in the 55m dash - Montel Johnson-Troupe (6.67 - 6.64 prelims), Ernest Pendleton (6.72), Jared Agee (6.70 prelims) and Dillon (6.57 prelims).

D'Eliseo (7.85 prelims) and sophomore Steven Morgan (7.93 prelims) both qualified in the 55m hurdles. Morgan is the reigning PSAC outdoor champ in the 110m hurdles and was runner-up in the 60m hurdles, and D'Eliseo was 3rd outdoors and 4th indoors.

Sophomore John Alston (21-6 1/4) joined Dillon as a PSAC qualifier in the long jump, and sophomore La Treil Ridgeway qualified in the triple jump (43-5 3/4).

Senior Mike Smith qualified in both the shot put (45-11 1/4) and weight throw (55-4 1/4).

Conard's score in the heptathlon (4,455) is the third-best in school history.

The Warriors are back in action next weekend (Friday-Saturday) at the Gulden Invitational at Bucknell.
