EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior Ashleigh Podhayny swam a PSAC qualifying time in the 1000 free to lead East Stroudsburg University as Bloomsburg topped the Warriors in dual action, 151-103, on Sunday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Podhayny hit a PSAC qualifying time in her ninth event this season, clocking 10:57.59, the second-fastest time in program history. She is qualified in the 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 free, 100 and 200 back and 200 and 400 IM, and ranks in the top eight in the PSAC in 100 and 200 back and 200 and 400 IM.

Podhayny was second in the event, one of eight events in which the Warriors had runner-up finishes.
 
Senior Karoline Vavra was second in both the 50 free (25.68) and 100 free (55.60), and freshman Kate Zimmerman was second in the 100 breast (1:09.39) and 200 breast (2:37.78).

Also finishing second were senior Mara Palazzari in the 100 fly (1:02.65), junior Sophie Coy in the 200 IM (2:19.02) and sophomore Kandis Venn in the 200 back (1:04.18).

Placing third was Coy in the 200 free (2:05.47), senior Jamie Kane in the 100 breast (1:13.79), freshman Annie Fagan in the 100 free (56.44) and 100 fly (1:03.93) and freshman Allison Cardow in the 200 fly (2:21.82).

The Warriors host the ESU Invitational next Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse in their final meet before the PSAC Championships, which will be held February 19-22 at Cumberland Valley High School.

ESU has 17 swimmers who are qualified in 55 total events.
