EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University took the first set but fell to Gannon, 3-1, in its second match of Friday's PSAC women's volleyball crossover at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Warriors fell in three sets to Mercyhurst (11-10, 6-4) in their first match, 25-22, 25-19, 25-11. ESU won the first set vs. Gannon, 25-17, before dropping the next three sets, 25-20, 25-17, 25-23, against the Golden Knights (16-4, 9-2).

Sophomore outside Desiree Claxton had 19 kills and 27 digs, sophomore middle blocker Erin Gloor had 14 kills and senior Maddie Hutchison had 29 digs to lead the Warriors in their two matches.

Mercyhurst - Claxton had nine kills and seven digs and sophomore outside hitter Rosa Veliky and freshman outside hitter Tina Predojevic had five kills each.

Hutchison had 13 digs and sophomore setter Erica Cunningham had 22 assists and eight digs.

Gannon - Claxton had 10 kills, 20 digs and five blocks and Gloor had 10 kills on 22 attacks for the Warriors. Freshman outside hitter Jineane Hallaj added even kills.

Predojevic had four kills and 15 digs, Hutchison had 16 digs and Cunningham had 31 assists and seven digs.

ESU hosts Slippery Rock (10 a.m.) and Edinboro (6 p.m.) on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.
