BETHLEHEM - Junior Allison Decker was third for East Stroudsburg University's best-ever women's finish in the "Brown" division at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University on Friday afternoon.

Decker ran a time of 21:29 on the 6K course, finishing behind only Swarthmore senior Katie McMenamin (21:23) and Seton Hill senior Meagen Carter (21:26). She was the top PSAC finisher in a field that included seven conference schools.

ESU's women finished 12th of 45 schools, and third among PSAC schools. Bloomsburg was second and Shippensburg placed 11th.

Four divisions are contested for both men and women - Gold (comprised mostly of DI programs), Brown, White and Open.

Corinne Fitzgerald was fifth and Rose Mascoli sixth in 2012 for ESU's previous best finishes. Decker was ninth last year in 21:51

Senior Chelsea Conover was 45th (22:24), sophomore Kaylyn West 80th (22:46), senior Caitlin Perry 82nd (22:47) and sophomore Samantha Young 152nd (23:25) in a field of 387 finishers.

ESU's men placed 18th of 39 schools, and second of four PSAC schools along with Shippensburg (1st), Kutztown (22nd) and West Chester (32nd).

Seniors Alex Zubko (57th - 25:39) and Steve Ruch (65th - 25:42) were the Warriors' top individual finishers on the 8K course, followed by junior Alec Lederer (136th - 26:16), sophomore Jeremy Rapposelli (151st - 26:25) and junior Anthony Ruiz (166th - 26:33). There were 354 athletes in the field.

Frank Fezza has ESU's best Paul Short "Brown" finish, winning the individual title in 2012.
