EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior midfielder Shea Neal scored the game-winning goal with 18 seconds left, giving East Stroudsburg University a 2-1 win over Bloomsburg in PSAC women's soccer on Wednesday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Sophomore forward Molly Vicari scored ESU's first goal with 1:06 left in the first half, her first career goal, and assisted on Neal's game-winner - ESU's latest game-winner in regulation since at least 2003.

ESU (8-5-1, 8-5-1) gained a key three points in the PSAC standings in its effort to return to the PSAC Tournament, where the Warriors are the defending champions.

Bloomsburg (8-6-1, 7-6-1) took a 1-0 lead in the 31st minute on a goal by Allie Barber, before Vicari scored, assisted by senior forward Sammi Jo Hughes, late in the first half.

ESU had a 12-8 advantage in shots, while Bloomsburg held a 6-5 edge in shots on goal and a 6-3 margin in corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jules Harris made four saves for ESU and Devon Haviland had four saves for the Huskies, including stopping a penalty kick with 5:42 remaining.

Neal's goal was her fifth of the year, the 18th of her career and her ninth career game-winning goal for the Warriors. She was named the initial first team All-America selection in program history as a sophomore on last year's PSAC championship team.

Hughes, making her 70th career start, had her 11th career assist to go with 20 goals. Hughes and Neal both have five goals and two assists to lead the Warriors this season.

ESU won when conceding the first goal for the first time this season and just the seventh time in the nine years under head coach Rob Berkowitz. ESU is 7-0 when scoring the first goal this season and 91-6-7 under Berkowitz.

ESU moves into fourth in the updated PSAC standings (25 points) with one game still to be played on Wednesday. The top eight schools (of 17) at the end of the regular season will advance to the PSAC Tournament.

The Warriors' last two regular season games are against two of the top teams in the conference - a trip to Edinboro (9-5, 8-4 entering Wednesday night vs. Slippery Rock) on Saturday and a home game vs. No. 1-ranked Gannon (15-0, 13-0) on Friday, Oct. 30 at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
