Maddie Hutchison had 31 digs and sophomore outside hitter
Desiree Claxton contributed 16 kills and 11 digs, but Shippensburg came away with a 3-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East women's volleyball on Friday night at Heiges Field House.
Annie Goerl had 11 kills and 14 digs and Maura Nolan had 34 assists and 11 digs to lead Shippensburg (18-7, 9-5), which won by set scores of 25-22, 25-16 and 25-21.
Hutchison's 31 digs are ESU's most in a three-set match in the 25-point scoring era (since 2008), her ninth career match with 30+ digs and 98th with 10+ digs in 113 career appearances.
Claxton had her eighth double-double of the year for the Warriors (6-18, 1-13).
