SLIPPERY ROCK - Junior Allison Decker and senior Chelsea Conover turned in first team All-PSAC performances, leading East Stroudsburg University's women's cross country team to a second-place finish, the best in school history, at the 2015 PSAC Championships at Slippery Rock.

ESU's men finished seventh in the conference with senior Alex Zubko earning second team All-PSAC honors with a 27th-place finish.

Decker was eighth, Conover 14th, senior Caitlin Perry 22nd, sophomore Kaylyn West 26th and sophomore Samantha Young 32nd for the ESU women, who had previously finished third in the conference four times (1981, 1996, 1999, 2003).

Perry and West gained second team All-PSAC recognition awarded to the 16th through 30th-place finishers, with Young just missing out on All-PSAC status.

Decker, second in 2014 for ESU's best finish since Vanessa Andes was second in 2003 and 2004, placed eighth in 22:18.6 for her second straight first team All-PSAC honor.

Conover was sixth last year and also earned All-PSAC first team status for the second straight year.

The Warriors' women jumped from sixth last year to second in 2015, after being picked fourth in the PSAC preseason poll. ESU had finished sixth, seventh, seventh, 11th and sixth in the last five championships since 2010.

Edinboro won the women's title, its second straight and 17th overall. Ida Narbuvall of Edinboro won the individual title.

Lock Haven's men won their third straight championship and eighth in the last 13 years (since 2003) led by individual winner Dylan Mountain.

Zubko improved on his 34th-place finish in 2013, placing 27th in 26:17.8, to lead the Warriors men.

Senior Steve Ruch was 33rd, junior Alec Lederer 37th, sophomore Jeremy Rapposelli 48th and junior Anthony Ruiz 64th.

ESU's men placed seventh for the second straight year.

The Warriors will prep for the NCAA DII Atlantic Regional (Nov. 7 at Lock Haven) with the River Run at Lock Haven next weekend.
