WILKES-BARRE - Senior Ashleigh Podhayny set the school record in the 200 free, won three events and lowered her PSAC qualifying times in each to lead East Stroudsburg University at the Diamond City Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Wilkes-Barre CYC.

Podhayny swam 1:55.89 to lead off the 800 free relay, breaking the previous 200 free school record of 1:57.14 set by Allison Schafer in 2014.

She won the 200 IM in 2:09.56, 400 IM in 4:37.35 and 200 back in 2:08.28, and also swam a new PSAC qualifier in the 100 breast (1:08.64). ESU had 20 new and 10 improved PSAC qualifying times overall.

Sophomore Allison Cardow won the 100 fly with a PSAC qualifying mark (1:00.42) and lowered her PSAC time in the 200 fly (2:16.54). She swam new PSAC qualifiers in the 200 back (2:15.52) and 200 IM (2:14.00).

Sophomore Kate Zimmerman won the 100 breast (1:07.43) and 200 breast (2:28.01) and lowered PSAC times in four events - 100 breast, 200 breast, 200 IM (2:09.56) and 400 IM (4:44.72).

Sophomore Annie Fagan won the 50 fly and lowered her PSAC time to 24.77. She had new PSAC times in the 100 free (54.66) and 100 fly (1:01.85).

Senior Cyndi Kline had three new PSAC times, winning the 1650 free (18:36.98) and also swimming PSAC qualifiers in the 200 free (2:00.91) and 500 free (5:21.72).

Five other Warriors swam PSAC qualifying times as well - senior Sophie Coy in the 100 breast (1:08.25), 200 breast (1:08.25) and 200 IM (2:17.52); senior Alexandra Woytko in the 50 free (25.48), 100 free (55.42) and 200 free (2:00.50); junior Kelly Buyaskas in the 50 free (25.37), 100 free (55.60) and 100 breast (1:09.92); junior Kaitlyn Casciole in the 100 back (1:03.08) and sophomore Shirley Samson in the 100 breast (1:10.91) and 200 breast (2:33.68).

ESU finished first of 10 schools in the meet and was one of two Division II schools participating, along with Lock Haven.

Ten Warriors have combined for 31 PSAC qualifying times through the first semester. ESU will return to action on January 9 at the Lynn University Sprint Invitational in Boca Raton, Florida.
