BETHLEHEM - Redshirt senior Travis Toth hit an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the weight throw in his first competition since spring 2014 to lead East Stroudsburg University's entrants at the 2015-16 indoor track and field season opener at Lehigh on Saturday.

Toth had a mark of 57-3 1/2 to provisionally qualify for the NCAA DII Indoor Championships in the weight throw for the third time in his career. He was eighth in the hammer to earn All-America honors at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championships in his last competition for the Warriors before redshirting last season.

The PSAC champion in the weight throw indoors and hammer outdoors in 2014, Toth is a three-time NCAA qualifier at ESU. Along with his 2014 outdoor All-America honors, he competed indoors in 2014 (placing 11th) and outdoors in 2013 (placing 13th).

ESU had 12 athletes combine for 13 PSAC qualifiers on the men's side, and three combine for four PSAC qualifiers on the women's side.

Freshman Marissa Flim ran PSAC qualifying times in both the 60m dash (7.95) and 200m (27.01) in her first competition for the Warriors. Her 60m time is seventh-best in school history.

Freshmen Victoria Matthews (5-3) and Carly Gregas (5-1) both had PSAC qualifying marks in the high jump.

For the men, freshman Patrick Monahan had PSAC times in the 60m (7.22) and 200m (23.00), and freshman Quincy Palmer (7.14) and sophomore Ernest Pendleton (7.25) hit the PSAC standards in the 60m.

ESU's four 60m hurdlers all hit PSAC qualifying times in junior Steven Morgan (8.30), sophomore Christian Castro (8.50), senior Derrick Washington (8.52) and senior Adam Robertino (8.53). Morgan swept the PSAC championships in the 60m hurdles indoors and 110m hurdles outdoors last year and is a three-time PSAC champion. Washington won the PSAC 400m outdoor title and ran the second leg on the winning 4x400m relay.

Senior William Berry, the PSAC outdoor high jump champion and indoor runner-up each of the last two years, had a PSAC qualifying mark in the high jump (6-0 3/4) before aggravating an injury in the 200m.

Senior Eric Conard, the PSAC decathlon champion last spring, hit the PSAC qualifying mark with an indoor PR in the pole vault (14-3 1/4)

Junior Sean Hagerty had a PSAC qualifying mark in the long jump (21-6 3/4), along with junior La Treil Ridgeway in the triple jump (45-10 1/2).

The Warriors' next action is January 14-15 at the Kutztown Invitational.
