EAST STROUDSBURG - Redshirt senior Luke DeLuise (184) won by major decision in his final home match, but Seton Hill came away with a 24-13 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC wrestling on Tuesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

ESU won four of the final five bouts after Seton Hill built a 19-0 advantage through the first five weight classes.

DeLuise, ranked No. 4 in Super Region 1, posted a 10-2 major decision over Christian Bosco at 184. He scored three back points after starting on top in the second period, then had an escape, takedown and three more back points in the third period. He secured the major decision with a +2:26 riding time advantage.

DeLuise improves to 11-7 on the season and 45-32 in his career at ESU. He is 8-4 in duals this season and 27-14 in his three years as a starter at 184. He improved to 9-4 against in-region competition this winter.

Sophomore Tyler Richardson, listed No. 1 in the region at 197 pounds for the second straight set of rankings, used a third-period takedown to earn a 3-2 decision over Morris Lawson. After a scoreless first period, Lawson gained a reversal in the second and led 2-1 entering the third. Richardson had a takedown with 58 seconds left and rode out the remainder of the bout.

Richardson (15-7) is 8-1 in the region and was coming off his first regional loss of the season, a second-period pin against Maxwell Lacey (Wheeling Jesuit) last Friday night.

Junior Tyson Searer posted a 6-0 decision at 285 pounds to finish the night. Searer, ranked No. 4 in the region, had two takedowns in his victory over Max Gladstone. Searer (19-7) is now 9-4 against in-region competition and posted his seventh straight win on the mat (ninth overall, including two forfeits).

Searer improves his sterling career dual record to 33-7, including 11-1 this season in his first year at 285 after two years at 197. He was an NCAA DII qualifier as a freshman in 2013.

Redshirt sophomore Matt Wax got the Warriors on the board at 165 with an 11-6 decision over Garrett Schultz. Wax had three takedowns in the first period and one each in the second and third, along with the riding time advantage.

Seton Hill got 17 of its 24 points from regionally-ranked wrestlers at 125, 141, 157 and 174 pounds.

The Warriors travel to LIU Post for a regional dual on Thursday before finishing their dual schedule at Kutztown next Tuesday.

ESU recognized three seniors - DeLuise, Anthony Marino (125) and Dan Ingulli (174) - prior to the match.

Ingulli, a Business Management and Economics double major, was recognized as the PSAC Champion Scholar at the PSAC Championships in December as the wrestler with the highest cumulative grade-point average at the championship site.

The NCAA DII Super Region 1 Championships will be held in two weeks (February 27-28) at West Liberty, with the top four finishers in each weight class advancing to the NCAA DII Championships.
