SELINSGROVE - East Stroudsburg University track and field athletes won six events and recorded 13 new and eight improved PSAC qualifying marks at the Susquehanna Open on Saturday.

ESU's standout high jumpers, senior Christina O'Connor and junior William Berry, both won their events. O'Connor, tied for eighth in DII at 5-8, won with a mark of 5-3 3/4. Berry cleared 6-9 1/2, just off his NCAA provisional qualifier and PSAC #2 mark of 6-9 3/4.

Senior Danielle Smith won the 400m in 58.57 seconds. For the men, sophomore Alec Lederer won the 5000m (15:25.01), sophomore Steven Morgan captured the 60m hurdles (8.33) and senior Mike Smith won the weight throw (55-2 1/4).

ESU athletes also etched five new entries on the school's all-time top 10 lists. Freshman Jaid Harsch had ESU's #5 time in the 60m hurdles (9.38), senior Damien Boham ran the #6 time in the men's 800m, sophomore Ronald D'Eliseo (#4, 8.36) and junior Adam Robertino (#7, 8.51) had strong times in the 60m hurdles and Mike Smith had ESU's #5 mark in the shot put (51-0).

ESU's women had four new and two improved PSAC marks. Freshman Keneesha Jones (200m - 26.91), senior Caitlin Perry (5000m - 18:57.23) and sophomore Alysha Menzies (shot put - 36-5 3/4 and weight throw - 42-0 1/2) had new PSAC qualifiers. Harsch (60m hurdles - 9.38) and sophomore Erin Brady (400m - 1:01.19) improved their PSAC times.

The men's team had nine new and six improved PSAC qualifiers. Recording new marks were senior Kyle Rickard (60m - 7.16), freshman Juwaan Walker (200m - 23.00), D'Eliseo (400m - 51.17), sophomore Robert Garvey (400m - 52.12), Boham (800m - 1:56.58), freshman Sean Halligan (800m - 1:59.58), senior Steve Ruch (3000m - 9:00.20), Lederer (5000m - 15:25.01) and Berry (long jump - 21-4 1/4).

Improved PSAC qualifiers came from D'Eliseo (8.36), Robertino (8.51) and junior Derrick Washington (8.73) in the 60m hurdles, sophomore John Alston in the long jump (21-11), freshman Zach Dillon in the triple jump (44-9 3/4) and Smith in the shot put (51-0).

The Warriors will compete at Kutztown next weekend before heading to Edinboro for the PSAC Indoor Championships on February 28 and March 1.
