Luke DeLuise won by fall at 184 pounds and junior
Tyson Searer won by decision at 285 as No. 15-ranked Kutztown posted a 34-8 dual win over East Stroudsburg University on Tuesday night at Keystone Arena.
DeLuise won the only bout between regionally-ranked wrestlers, pinning Kutztown's Andre Petroski in 3:27. DeLuise entered the night ranked No. 4 in Super Region 1, one spot behind Petroski at No. 3.
DeLuise finishes the regular season with a 13-7 overall record and 10-4 dual mark. His dual career ends with a 29-14 record as a three-year starter at 184. He notched his third pin of the year and the 17th of his career, and 26 of his 47 career victories have come by bonus points.
He improves to 11-4 this season against in-region completion and posted his fifth straight win entering the NCAA DII Super Region 1 Championships, which will be held February 27-28 at West Liberty (W.V.).
Searer finishes the season with a 13-1 dual record at 285 after a 16-9 decision over Ryan Appleby. He won his 11th straight match (9th on the mat, plus 2 forfeits) with his last loss coming by injury default at the Midwest Classic on December 13. His career dual mark improves to 35-7.
Searer, ranked No. 4 in the region, is 11-4 against in-region competition. Kutztown held out defending national champion and No. 1-ranked Ziad Haddad.
Searer is 21-7 on the season entering the regional. He was a national qualifier at 197 pounds as a freshman in 2013.

Brendan McKeown's mark at 174 pounds in 2012-13 as one of the Warriors' best in recent history.
ESU held out sophomore
Tyler Richardson, ranked No. 1 in the region at 197 pounds. Richardson (15-7 overall) is 8-1 against in-region competition.
The regional will be contested Friday and Saturday (February 27-28) at West Liberty. The top four finishers at each weight class will advance to the NCAA DII Championships, which will be held March 13-14 in St. Louis.
