Mike Smith hit an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark in the weight throw and a personal best in the shot put to lead East Stroudsburg University's entrants at the 16th Annual DeSchriver Invitational on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Smith had a mark of 58-2 1/2 in the weight throw to hit the NCAA provisional mark for the third straight year. His mark of 50-8 1/4 in the shot put is a PR and the fifth-best mark in program history.
