Lauren Nunes and
Kaitlynn Wiltraut both scored five goals, and East Stroudsburg University pulled away from an 8-8 tie for a 14-10 victory at Wilmington in non-conference women's lacrosse in the Warriors' season opener on Tuesday.
Wiltraut, who scored 47 goals last year, and Nunes, who had 30 goals in both of her first two seasons, both had their 10th career hat tricks for ESU.
Madeline Hewitt scored four goals and Rebekah McCurry had three goals and two assists for Wilmington (1-4), which has played a challenging early-season schedule including losses to No. 15 Dowling and No. 8 Florida Southern.
Wiltraut scored four of her five goals in the first half, while Nunes had four of her five in the second half. Nunes scored three times in a four-goal run in the final 10 minutes, extending ESU's 10-9 lead to 14-9.

Jessica Maxwell, a second team All-PSAC selection last season, had six saves for ESU.
The Warriors had a 35-24 advantage in shots, including 18-10 in the second half. The score was tied, 6-6, at halftime.
ESU hosts Chestnut Hill on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Whitenight Field.
