Both games came down to the seventh inning. SW Minnesota scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh, before the Warriors built a big lead, then rallied with two runs in the bottom of the seventh against Ohio Dominican.
ESU (3-3) has split its two games on each of its first three days of competition. The Warriors are off Wednesday, and play twice Thursday (Maryville, Bridgeport) and Friday (Hillsdale, NYIT).
Through six games, freshman
Mary Wallick (9-for-21, 3 doubles, 2 triples) and sophomore
Rae Holden (6-for-14, 2 doubles) are both hitting .429 for the Warriors. Junior
Sierra Wagner is batting .368 (7-for-19) with a triple.
Southwest Minnesota State (L 4-3)ESU, batting second, answered two SMSU runs in the second inning and one in the fourth, but couldn't push the tying run across in the seventh to force extra innings.

Kasey Meckes had a two-out, two-RBI double in the second inning to score senior 1B
Cara McNeil (walk) and Holden (single).
Meckes had another two-out double in the fourth, scoring Holden, with the go-ahead run cut down at the plate.
SMSU scored an unearned run in the top of the seventh. Wallick had a two-out single for the Warriors in the bottom half before Erin McDurmont (7.0 IP, 7 hits allowed) closed the game for SMSU.
Meckes was 2-for-3 with three RBI and Wallick was 2-for-4 at the plate for ESU. Holden was 1-for-3 with two runs.
Freshman
Kelly Madigan made her first career start, pitching 4.0 innings. Sophomore
Rachael Liguori threw the last 3.0 innings in relief, allowing just one hit, an unearned run, striking out four and walking one.
Ohio Dominican (W 11-10)ESU led 7-0 after three innings, trailed 10-9 after a five-run Ohio Dominican seventh - then won the game with two runs in the bottom half.
In the seventh, junior
Danielle Dungee drew a one-out walk as a pinch-hitter, followed by a triple by Wallick and an RBI single by senior 2B
Jamie Smith for a walk-off victory.
Wallick was 3-for-5 with a double, two triples, an RBI and three runs from the leadoff spot to lead a 13-hit attack. Smith was 2-for-5 with three RBI in the No. 2 hole.

Cara Woods was 2-for-4, Holden was 1-for-3 with two RBI and two runs and junior
Allison Mende was 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Liguori earned the win in relief, coming on to get the final two outs of the seventh inning (0.2 IP, 3 hits, 2 unearned runs) in relief of Mende (6.1 IP, 8 runs, 5 earned, 8 hits).
ESU scored four runs in the first inning, sending all nine batters to the plate, including a bases loaded walk by Holden, an RBI single by Woods and a two-run single by Mende.
Wallick doubled, moved up on a passed ball and scored on an RBI groundout by Smith in the second for a 5-0 lead.
The Warriors added two more runs in the third. Meckes singled, stole second, moved up on an error and scored on a passed ball. Freshman OF

Ohio Dominican scored four runs in the fifth, one in the sixth and five in the seventh to come all the way back.
