HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Sophomore Amber Jadus, senior Taylor Presby and freshman Elizabeth Bartoli all won two singles matches as East Stroudsburg University played its first three matches of the spring in South Carolina earlier this week.

ESU fell 9-0 to West Liberty on Sunday and has posted two wins over NAIA schools, Roosevelt (Ill.) by an 8-1 score and Lawrence Tech (Mich.) by a 5-4 score the last two days.

Jadus (No. 3), Presby (No. 4) and Bartoli (No. 5) were all unbeaten in singles against Roosevelt and Lawrence Tech.

Also picking up wins against Roosevelt were junior Amina Dickson (No. 1) and freshman Devin Presby (No. 6). The Warriors swept all three doubles matches with Dickson and senior Allison Bean at No. 1, Taylor Presby and Jadus at No. 2, and Bartoli and Devin Presby at No. 3.

ESU won three matches on the court and two more by forfeit to edge Lawrence Tech.

Jadus and Bartoli both came back from a set down to win their singles matches, while Taylor Presby won in straight sets.

Taylor and Devin Presby teamed for an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles, while Dickson and Bean fell 8-5 at No. 1.

ESU (2-3) is scheduled to face St. Joseph's (Ind.) on Thursday.
