Lauren Nunes had four goals and three assists, and had a hand in six of East Stroudsburg University's nine goals in the first half as the Warriors held off Mercy for a 14-9 win in non-conference women's lacrosse on Saturday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Kaitlynn Wiltraut had three goals and one assist and freshman midfielder
Chessie Rahmer added two goals for the Warriors (3-0).
Nicole Augustine had five goals for Mercy (2-2).
ESU led 9-4 at halftime with Nunes accounting for three goals and three assists. She scored the first goal of the second half to put the Warriors ahead, 10-4, before Mercy scored four straight goals to pull within 10-8 with 13:45 remaining.
Wiltraut scored two straight for ESU, with 13:06 and 6:13 left, to push ESU's lead back to four goals.

Nunes has 19 points (12 goals, seven assists) through the first three games with five goals and one assist in a 14-10 at Wilmington and three goals and three assists in a 17-3 win over Chestnut Hill before recording a career-high seven points against Mercy.
Nunes and Wiltraut (12 goals, two assists) both have hat tricks in each of the first three contests.
ESU held a 27-21 advantage in shots and a 16-9 margin in draw controls. Mercy was 7-for-11 on free position shots, with Augustine going 5-for-6.
Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper
Jessica Maxwell had 10 saves for ESU. Jillian Rocco made eight saves, all in the first half, for Mercy.
ESU travels to Kutztown for its PSAC opener next Saturday.
