Box ScoreERIE - East Stroudsburg University led No. 7-ranked Mercyhurst at halftime, 5-4, but the Lakers responded for a 16-7 win in PSAC lacrosse on Friday afternoon.
Becca Himes had nine points on four goals and five assists to lead the Lakers (6-1, 2-0), whose only loss came in overtime to top-10 Le Moyne in their season opener.

Mercyhurst led 3-0 and 4-1 early in the contest before the Warriors scored four straight goals to go into halftime with the lead.
A goal by Rahmer brought ESU within 7-6 early in the second half, but Mercyhurst scored nine straight goals to put the game away.
Mercyhurst had a 35-14 advantage in shots and 20-10 in turnovers, while ESU had a 13-12 lead in draw controls.
Sophomore Emily Fitzimmons had 15 saves in almost 58 minutes in goal for the Warriors after redshirt sophomore
Jessica Maxwell played the first 2:13.
Rebecca Muscella had four saves for Mercyhurst. Jenna Schlagenhauf and Mackenzie Jordan scored three goals each to support Himes' scoring output.
Nunes pushed her season total to 34 points on 20 goals and 14 assists. She ranked third in DII in points per game (6.4) entering the weekend.
ESU remains in Erie to play Gannon (3-5, 0-3) on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Golden Knights are coming off a 10-8 loss to No. 20 Bloomsburg.
