Amanda Carlin threw her first career shutout in a 3-0 win over Mercy as East Stroudsburg University has opened its 10-game, season-opening trip to the National Training Center in Florida with a 2-2 record.
ESU posted a 7-3 win over Urbana, fell 9-1 (5 inn.) to St. Cloud State, blanked Mercy 3-0 and was edged 1-0 by Concordia-St. Paul while playing two games Sunday and two games Monday.
Carlin tossed a three-hitter against Mercy, striking out two, for her seventh career complete game and first career shutout.

Sierra Wagner was 1-for-3 with a triple and two runs, and senior 1B
Cara McNeil was 1-for-2 with a double and a sacrifice fly in the victory.

Rae Holden both had four of the Warriors' 12 hits.
Wallick was 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and one run, and Holden was 4-for-4 with a double, one RBI and three runs.

Allison Mende threw 3.2 innings of scoreless, hitless relief to earn the victory.
Against St. Cloud State, Wagner was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Wallick drew two walks and scored a run.
Sophomore left-hander
Rachael Liguori went the distance in the circle in the 1-0 loss to Concordia-St. Paul. She allowed six hits, all singles, struck out three and walked two. Liguori completed seven of her 16 starts as a freshman, throwing a team-high 116.2 innings.
Haley Schanks tossed a three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts for C-SP.
The Warriors face Southwest Minnesota State and Ohio Dominican on Tuesday before an off day Wednesday. They finish their stay with two games each on Thursday and Friday.
