EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior William Berry tied a school record in the high jump and was one of four East Stroudsburg University athletes to set meet records at the 10th Annual All-American Meet, held Saturday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Berry cleared 6-10 3/4 to tie a school record set by Toby Virgil in 1982. The mark is an NCAA Division II provisional qualifier and breaks the meet record of 6-8 3/4 that was set by Cody Hartzler (Kutztown) in 2009 and tied by Berry as a freshman in 2013.

Senior Christina O'Connor cleared 5-8 in the women's high jump, tying her outdoor career best and improving her NCAA DII provisional mark (5-7 1/4) that she hit last week at Bucknell. O'Connor breaks the meet record of 5-6 1/2 by ESU's Devyn Emerich in 2009 and won her fourth straight All-American Meet title.

Senior Danielle Smith won the women's 400m in a meet and Eiler-Martin Stadium record time of 56.79 seconds, breaking the standard of 57.04 by Giulia Chessa of Fashion Institute in 2012. Smith won her third career meet title, taking the 100m and 200m as a freshman in 2012.

Smith had one of four stadium records, along with ESU's men's 4x400m relay, ESU alumnus Barry Krammes in the javelin and Franklin & Marshall's Rebecca Swisher in the women's pole vault.

The 4x400m relay of freshman Juwaan Walker (48.9), junior Derrick Washington (47.8), sophomore Ronald D'Eliseo (49.7) and senior Damien Boham (48.2) broke the meet record of 3:17.84 run by ESU in 2011 (Keith Parker-Washington, Christopher Walker, Negus Graham and Greg Pammer), and the stadium record held by that relay and IUP's 1974 relay (3:17.8) of Bocz, Wilhour, Steele and Wooding.

Krammes hit a mark of 237-11 in the javelin, surpassing his facility record (235-0) set in 2008, and the meet record of 216-6 by Brian Florek in 2014.

ESU athletes won a total of eight individual and three relay titles, recorded 13 new and 15 improved PSAC qualifying marks, and etched eight "Top 10" performances in ESU's record books.

Individual winners for ESU's women were Smith in the 400m, O'Connor in the high jump and freshman Keneesha Jones in the 100m (12.16), the third-fastest time in school history.

The women's 4x100m relay of junior Tirzah Johnson, Jones, freshman Samantha DiPietro and sophomore Alexis Bell won in 48.13, a season best and ESU's No. 7 time.

Freshman Jaid Harsch improved her PSAC qualifying time in the 110m hurdles to 15.30, ranking No. 6 on ESU's all-time list. Harsch (1:05.95) and sophomore Kelley Anne Stuetz (1:05.66) improved their 400m hurdles PSAC qualifying times.

New women's PSAC qualifiers came from Bell in the 100m (12.59) and 200m (26.25), freshman Colleen Martin in the 100m (12.90) and sophomore Lauren Toth (4:55.15), junior Chelsea Conover (4:55.99) and freshman Samantha Young (4:57.25) in the 1500m.

Johnson was second in both the long jump (17-2 1/4) and triple jump (36-9 1/2) to improve her PSAC marks in both events.

ESU's men had five individual winners in Berry in the high jump, sophomore Steven Morgan in the 110m hurdles (14.71), sophomore Sean Hagerty in the long jump (22-3 1/2), senior Mike Smith in the shot put (51-8 1/2) and senior Casey Ciaston in the discus (158-11).

Berry won his third straight meet title in the high jump, Morgan defended his 110m hurdles title and Ciaston took the discus for the second straight year. He also won the hammer in 2014.

Smith was the top collegiate finisher in the hammer as well (171-10) after two former ESU All-Americans, both competing unattached - Travis Toth (203-8) and Paul Wagner (203-5). Smith's mark of 171-10 ranks No. 6 on ESU's list.

Senior Steve Ruch improved his 3000m steeplechase PR to 9:36.29, 10th-best in school history, and finishing second in the field. He set a meet record at 9:51.26 last year. Sophomore Alec Lederer lowered his PSAC time to 9:53.19.

Boham was second in the 800m (1:55.67) and Washington second in the 110m hurdles (15.13) behind Morgan, who ran 14.44, an NCAA DII provisional time and the second-fastest in school history, last week at Moravian.

Seven new PSAC qualifying efforts came from Ciaston (151-2) and freshman Matt Kraemer (147-5) in the hammer, sophomore John Alston in the long jump (21-5 1/4), junior Braeden Rembert in the 100m (11.18), freshman Christian Castro in the 110m hurdles (15.40) and 400m hurdles (57.10), and junior Adam Robertino in the 400m hurdles (56.04).

Smith improved his PSAC marks in both the shot put and hammer, along with Ciaston in the discus.

D'Eliseo turned in an improved time in the 110m hurdles (15.16) after clocking an NCAA provisional of 53.29 in the 400m hurdles at Moravian last weekend.

There were a total of 10 new meet records, along with the four stadium records.
