BRONX, N.Y. - Junior Allison Decker and senior Steve Ruch won individual titles as East Stroudsburg University swept both of the Division II and Division III fields at Fordham in the 2015 cross country season opener on Saturday.

Ruch ran 27:18.36 on the 5 mile course, 11 seconds faster than junior Alec Lederer, to win his first-ever collegiate individual title.

Decker ran 18:50.81 on the women's 5K course for a 30-second margin of victory over LIU Post's Talya Williams. She won her second career individual title after winning at UMass-Dartmouth as a sophomore. Decker was the PSAC runner-up last fall, ESU's best finish since 2004.

Senior Chelsea Conover was fifth (19:38.33), sophomore Kaylyn West sixth (19:57.75), senior Caitlin Perry eighth (20:16.62) and sophomore Samantha Young 10th (20:33.95) for the Warriors.

Ruch and Lederer were followed by junior Anthony Ruiz (5th - 27:57.39), sophomore Jeremy Rapposelli (6th - 27:59.93) and senior Alex Zubko (10th - 28:29.26). Ruch returned to the Warriors after sitting out last fall, and Zubko ran in just one race in 2014.

The Warriors head to the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational next Saturday.
