EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior midfielder Shea Neal scored her first two goals of the season as East Stroudsburg University posted a 6-0 win vs. Pitt-Johnstown in PSAC women's soccer on Saturday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Neal scored in the 29th and 35th minutes after a 16th minute goal by junior back Laurel Neira, as the Warriors led 3-0 at halftime.

Senior forward Sammi Jo Hughes scored 36 seconds into the second half, and senior midfielder Syrandin Deere Vester (54th minute) and sophomore forward Kendall Galvin (64th) completed the scoring.

Neal, sophomore midfielder Sammi Ortiz, sophomore midfielder Christina Shannon, redshirt freshman Taryn Messick and freshman forward Alex Pickett had assists for ESU.

Neal, a first team NSCAA All-America selection on ESU's 2014 PSAC championship team, had her first points of the season for the Warriors. She scored her 14th and 15th career goals and added her seventh career assist.

Neira, who scored six goals last fall and earned Daktronics All-America second team honors, had her first goal of the season and the eighth of her career.

Hughes scored her 18th career goal, Deere Vester her fourth and Galvin her second.

ESU had a 28-1 advantage in shots, 11-0 in the first half and 17-1 in the second half.

The Warriors (3-1 PSAC) travel to Millersville for conference action on Tuesday.


GAME NOTES
* Hughes moved into 9th at ESU in career goals (18) and t-10th in career points (45).
* So. GK Jules Harris played the first 63:24 in goal and was credited with her 11th career total shutout (t-4th at ESU). She has 9 career solo shutouts.

* ESU is 21-2 vs. PSAC schools (55-16 goal differential) since the start of the 2014 season.
* ESU has won 2 straight since a 3-2 loss at Shippensburg last Saturday, which ended a PSAC record 19-game winning streak vs. conference opponents.

* ESU's men won 6-2 in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.
* This marks the first time since October 10, 2007 that both teams scored 6+ goals on the same day (Men 6-0, Women 6-1 at Kutztown).
