Desiree Claxton had 11 kills and seven digs to lead ESU past Nyack, 25-16, 25-19, 25-12, in the weekend's final match on Saturday night. Claxton had 23 kills in a 3-1 win vs. Saint Anselm and 14 in a 3-0 win vs. Molloy on Friday.
Freshman outside hitter
Madison McCunney had eight kills and Predojevic added seven kills and six digs. Cunningham had 24 assists and nine digs, and Hutchison had 14 digs.
Claxton led the Warriors (4-3) with 49 kills for the weekend, followed by McCunney with 35. Hutchison had 67 digs and Cunningham had 106 assists (10.6 per set) in three matches as ESU's starting setter. Predojevic had 19 kills, 32 digs and 26 assists.
The Warriors hit .230 in their four matches, averaging 13.1 kills per set.
Hutchison ranks third at ESU in career digs (1,590) and is 21 from the second spot (Lindsey Lullo, 1,611 - 2007-10). Dawn Peipher has the school record (2,574 - 2003-06).
ESU is at Wilmington (Del.) for three matches next weekend, facing Merrimack and Dominican on Saturday and the hosts on Sunday.
